Closing Statement ( Last Entree)

Dear Mr. Jefferson, The journey was the Corps at its best. The journey was America at its best. Throughout this life changing expedition of exploration from the Missouri river to the Pacific Ocean, the corps and myself discovered unknown wildlife, peoples, herbs, and new territories. The Corps accomplished this by working diligently as a team. Meriwether Louis and William Clark did their job, with meticulous observation, determination, and consideration for the members of the corps who worked with them. America is a beautiful place from sea to sea, abounding with abundance of many sorts. We are proud that we were members of this fascinating Expedition. Signed, Chris Benwitt

PS: For only weekly labors, discoveries… for all my endeavors brought to the journey, I believe I should be paid the grade of… A- As a member of the Corps I have tasted buffalo, seen wolves and elk, and wrote journals explaining what we saw on the Expedition. I hope my writings sounded realistic and the tools that I used were appropriate. I have made it to the Pacific Ocean and it has been an honor serving you, Captain John. We saw America new, clean and pristine. A wondrous land full of wondrous possibilities. Not entirely an easy place but definitely a place where a man can make choices.
